A PSS that incorporates eBikes and docking stations in a sharing economy business model.
The context of the brief for this project focused on designing for the future of eMobility in urban areas.
What would the future of last-mile transport look like in a 2045 city?
Dash is a product-service system, based around the use of a future cognitive IoT platform. It’s aim to help improve the quality of life of users by making their last mile transport safer, more enjoyable to use and more convenient. Access to the platform is split into two main offerings that work hand-in-hand; the Dash application, and the Dash docks and eBikes.
Dash implements a Freemium business model to make the platform as inclusive as possible, meaning even the poorest in society can get around conveniently.
Users will be part of a network that will connect them to those around them. A points-based rewards system is integrated to incentivise continued use and good behaviour whilst discouraging poor use of the vehicle.
Dash will be personified using Dash Buddy, a friendly mascot. We hope that users will feel an emotional connection that will enhance their experience and build a feeling of trust regarding data sharing. Dash Buddy will be the medium between the user, and the platform. It will make live intelligent suggestions to users and will provide optimised routes and travel times.
